Oil drained, Oil filter replacement, Oil replaced and supplemented with Camguard, degreasing the cowling
Our aircraft has a quick release for the drainage of oil, a hose can be connected to the brass nipple with a small lever/switch that can be toggled
A wire harness that secures the oil filter, it is temporary and needs to be reapplied requiring a special tool(s)
The oil filter is torqued to specifications as directed by the manufacturer
Taking off the oil filter causes significant mess and leakage of oil - the job requires degreasing the lower cowling
On this occasion oil analysis was not sought
Upon replacing the cowling it was noted that the rubber air baffle has a tendency to poke out and needs to be folded back into position (as pictrued below). The purpose of the air-baffle is to maintain effective airflow around the engine. Air enters the engine space through the cowling nacelle's and is directed around the engine to cool the engine. The baffle maintains some degree of backpressure. If the baffle is not properly placed the engine may be more prone to overheating.
I took a moment to review tyre pressures, ports side ~26 PSI, starboard side 20 PSI; the starboard side may have a slow leak that has been flagged to all syndicate members
Some wires frayed with the microphone switch cables - these were flagged for preventative maintenance
Flat-spot on port side tyre noted - flagged and discussed - likely something that had been a result of prior use before acquisition of aircraft
